Kootenay Rainbow Ivory Grey is the most colorful stone we have. It comes from the quarry we call "The Rainbow Quarry" because it has all the colors of the rainbow in it. This often makes it hard to sort into specific colors, so in many cases we just grade it by shade. Kootenay Rainbow Light Mix which has lighter shades of white-gold, brown, blue-green, ivory, tans, grays and pinkish. Kootenay Rainbow Dark Mix has darker shades of blue-green-grays, tans, black, brown, gold and ivory. Or sometimes we even do a Medium Mix. When there is wide enough seams of stone in specific colors at the quarry we make full pallets of them. Much of this stone has sparkly patches of silver and other colors on it. Kootenay Rainbow comes in pallets of ¼ - ½ inch stone, 1 inch stone, 2 inch stone, 2-6 inch stone, some smaller dry pac and garden rubble. Most of the stone from this quarry is flat and smooth enough for floors and patios. It would be beautiful for polished terrazzo floors. It is also fantastic for walls and fireplaces of course. We also get some larger slabs for special projects such as benches, mantles, hearths, counters etc.
